Guys, this is serious. I'm about to tell you about something wonderful. I have this really great friend who always has delicious healthy recipes to share with me (her not-so-pro at being a good married cook friend). She recently introduced me to www.skinnytaste.com. It's the BEST! So... if you are struggling to find yummy for your tummy, healthy, easy recipes you must go check this out. Just to give you an idea of what kind of skinny recipes this offers... refer to the mouth watering pics above. Now go get cookin'!

Cheers... to friend kin.

Last Sunday we had a bunch of our good friends over for a superbowl par-tay! It was awesome. Not because I love football. Not because I love Fergie. Not even because I loved that Christina Aguilara sang the wrong words to the National Anthem and still rocked it.... It was awesome because I got to spend a whole Sunday afternoon with my two handsomes (Jakey and Avett) and some of my favorite people! AND we had delicious fooooood! I think we should have superbowl Sunday every Sunday. Agreed?

Cheers... to stuff about love.

Okay. I have been thinking about what to do/ get for my hunk for Valentine's Day and I haven't quite nailed it. BUT I was remembering what I gave him last year and believe it or not it was a hit. (Or maybe he's a good faker!) Anywho, if you are stuck in a rut for ideas, here's one for ya. It can be for a girl or boy. It's a precious little book that I bought from Barnes and Noble. It is called "What I Love About You." Basically, you fill it out as much as you want with favorite memories, "firsts," pictures, etc. Its awesome. All the questions are already there and all you do is have to answer them! I filled out about half or so and we keep adding to it. It's $13.99... nice, eh? Go get yours! (B&N should pay me for my fantastic advertising. Just sayin') If you have any ideas for me... feel free to comment :)

I thought I would dedicate a post to some of the little people who truly make me happy. And by happy I mean Happy with a capital 'h'. These nuggets mean the world to me. There's something about each and every one of them that has me totally attached. Let's be serious though, are they not all adorable? Here's to all of you little stinkers! Let's be friends forever. K?

Cheers... to Sunday traditions.

Have you ever heard of Hootin' Annies? Or how about German pancakes? Well, now you have! We recently have started a Sunday morning tradition. It's definitely my favorite tradition so far. Hootin' Annies for Sunday morning breakfast! Can I get hoo-hah somebody? These weird looking things are yummy for our tummies. And they can be yummy for your tummy too. Just follow this recipe. :)

Ingredients:
6 eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup milk (we used rice milk and it worked great so if you are lactose feel free to use rice milk as a substitute)
1/2 tsp salt
2 TBS butter

Optional:
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup sugar

1. Preheat oven to 400.

2. Melt butter in 9 x 13 pan in oven.

3. Mix the rest of the ingredients together. (The more whipped the batter is the more fluffy the pancakes will be.)

4. Pour batter into pan with melted butter.

5. Bake for 20 minutes. NO PEEKING! (It's a fun surprise. So don't peek... or else.)

6. Serve immediately with syrup and powdered sugar.

7. Go back for seconds.

Cheers... to this lil' guy

This is the best snuggler ever (besides Jake, of course), he is the best at chewing up shoes and baskets and clothes and toilet paper and... the list goes on. He is the sweetest, mushiest, funniest little rascal. And he's mine! All mine! And Jakes. Obviously. We love our puppy.
